Passport Demand Study
The U.S. Department of State’s Passport Services Directorate, via our contractor, The Logistics Management Institute (LMI) and their subcontractor, STR, is currently conducting the Passport Demand Forecasting Study, which is a voluntary nationwide study being carried out to estimate the overall demand for passport products.
The statistical data and information collected from this survey provides Passport Services with up-to-date and reliable statistics that are used to improve customer service, allocate sufficient resources, and develop new products for the coming years.
Each month Passport Services sends letters to a random sample of addresses from the US Postal Service’s list of residential addresses requesting them to participate in the study.
Individuals or households who receive a passport study letter in the mail can either participate through a phone interview or online.
If you received this letter and have questions or concerns, please contact us by using the e-mail address at the bottom of the letter you received.
